Warranty
At Viking West, we stand proudly behind the quality of our products. We back this up with a limited warranty that all products manufactured by Viking West will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years, subject to the terms and conditions detailed below. The warranty period begins 90 days after delivery of the product to the dealer or upon the sale of the product to the end user, whichever occurs first.
If any product covered by this warranty is rejected due to a defect in workmanship or materials, or due to a failure to conform to the product design specifications, Viking West’s obligation is limited to replacing the defective items with others that comply with the specifications or repairing the defective items. Viking West has sole discretion over whether to repair or replace such items.
Limitation of Warranty
Viking West shall in no situation be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages incurred by the purchaser or end user of a Viking West product. Such damages include, but are not limited to, loss of profit or revenue, loss of use, downtime, cost of a substitute product, or other related damage to equipment or attachments.
The Viking West warranty does not cover any of the following:
- Products that have been misused by the user, based on the judgement of Viking West.
- Products not sold or manufactured by Viking West.
- Alterations or repairs not authorized by a Viking West representative.
- Damage from exposure to the elements due to improper storage.
- Shop supplies, environmental charges, downtime or travel time.
- Consumables or non-durable items.
Claims
For Warranty claims, please contact your dealer.
Compensation
For defects covered by your Viking West warranty, we will provide compensation as follows:
- A part that is proven to be defective will be repaired, replaced or credited back at dealer net value at the discretion of Viking West.
- For warranty-covered repair work carried out by an approved Viking West dealer shop, we will issue a credit for the labour directly to the dealer shop. An acceptable repair time and rate will be determined and approved by Viking West in advance, and any credit will be capped at these levels.
- The maximum reimbursement under a Viking West warranty will not exceed the dealer net value of the product. Some items such as hydraulic hoses and fittings are covered at a fixed rate.
