GEN3 WBM Wedge Lock Hydraulic Coupler for Mid-Size Excavator
The Viking West GEN3 Hydraulic Wedge Coupler delivers next-generation performance, safety, and reliability. The reduced weight and length improves machine balance and clearance, while a redesigned main cylinder and advanced control valve provide smoother, faster operation and longer service life. Fully compliant with ISO 13031 safety standards, the GEN3 sets a new benchmark for durability and operator confidence.
Features
Redesigned Main Cylinder
The redesigned main cylinder on our GEN3 coupler features a spherical bushing at the rod end and a trunnion mount at the barrel end, allowing controlled angular movement to reduce stress during operation. This added flexibility minimizes seal and component wear, delivering greater durability, smoother performance, and a longer service life.
Reengineered Control Valve
The GEN3 Wedge Coupler features a reengineered control valve that uses regulated pump pressure and an electronic pressure-sensing switch to deliver faster, more reliable wedge operation. This advanced design eliminates back-pressure issues, reduces component failure risk, and enhances overall system durability and responsiveness.
Wedge Bar Protection
Heavy-duty steel guards welded to the main frame protect the wedge bar from accidental impact or side loading, preventing damage to internal hydraulic components and ensuring long-term reliability in demanding applications.
ISO 1303:2016 Compliant
Designed with operator safety in mind, Viking West hydraulic wedge quick couplers meet the latest ISO 13031 safety requirements for earth-moving machinery. Primary locking cylinder and secondary pin lock have fail safe design to prevent unintended decoupling of your attachment in event of system pressure loss.
Easy Operation From Cab
Rocker switch with momentary actuator integrated into operator’s console for safe and convenient activation of primary wedge lock and secondary pin lock from the cab.
Certified Lifting Point
Certified lifting point compatible with various lifting methods, including chains, cables, or synthetic slings, with or without shackles or similar rigging accessories.
