Serviceable Bushings

The pivot pin bore features greaseable and replaceable hardened bushings, ensuring smooth operation, enhanced durability, and easy serviceability. 

Bucket Pin Rotation Point

Because the thumb and bucket share the same pivot point, the grip angle between the bucket and the thumb remains consistent throughout the rotation.  This allows for a more stable and secure hold on materials of varying shapes and sizes.

Serrated Tines

We add a serrated profile to thumb tines to improve grip on irregular or slippery materials like rocks, logs, and debris.  This design enhances the excavator's ability to securely and efficiently handle diverse materials, ideal for applications such as demolition, forestry, and material handling.

Spherical Bushings

Our thumb cylinders are equipped with sphyrical bushings to allow slight angular movement to accommodate misalignment and reduce stress on the cylinder.  This flexibility minimizes wear on seals and other components, enhancing durabilty and extending the cylinder's lifespan.

Induction Hardened Pins

Thumb includes OEM quality high strength induction hardened pins and locking hardware.

T1 Tines

Our thumb tine plates are crafted from high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) T1 grade steel, known for its exceptional strength, toughness and wear resistance.  This makes it an ideal choice for heavy-duty applications such as excavator thumbs, where durability is essential.
