Obed Mine Project
Project Summary
The Obed Mine required an effective dewatering solution for contaminated ponds containing elevated levels of suspended solids. A treatment system combining Clearflow Gel Flocculant blocks with the patented Gel Flocculant Reacto was installed to treat the water directly at the mine site.
The system reduced total suspended solids by 98%, producing treated water that regulators approved for safe release back to the environment. With a treatment capacity ranging from approximately 400 to 1,000 gallons per minute, the Gel Flocculant Reactor provided a high-volume solution suited to demanding mine-dewatering conditions.
Key Results
- Reduced total suspended solids by 98%.
