Walterdale Bridge Project

During construction of Edmonton’s Walterdale Bridge across the North Saskatchewan River, Clearflow Gel Flocculant treatment was used to manage water generated during installation of the bridge’s piling system. The treatment program operated throughout the 2016 and 2017 construction seasons.

Water collected within the cofferdams was treated and safely returned to the river, supporting efficient site operations while helping the contractor meet environmental discharge requirements. This approach reduced water-handling delays and helped avoid costs associated with extended treatment, off-site disposal, and potential regulatory non-compliance.

• Supported piling and cofferdam operations throughout the 2016 and 2017 construction seasons.
• Treated construction water directly at the project site.
• Enabled the immediate release of treated water back to the North Saskatchewan River.
